In fact, The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also supported this fact.

Then, I went about asking around and doing some research.

What I found out is - when you're in an enclosed room, meaning, the air in that room remains inside, it is indeed possible that it is more polluted.

Electrical appliances release chemicals into the air when in use.

Pollution from the outside, e.g. dust etc comes in and 'settle' happily in the room.

You get someone to sneeze or cough in your room, and the germs, bacteria, virus (better not be H1N1) will remain in the room until it 'expires'.

Other than indoor pollution - there's odor.

Odor is caused by bacteria. Thus, by just using air freshener alone, it's just mask the odor temporary.

You'll have to solve the root cause - removing the bacteria. Otherwise, it's only temporary and may be even more dangerous!

As someone who teaches other about the importance of breathing and air, I know I must share this information with people.

Go get a decent air purifier. (Alright, I'm not advertising for my client, OK?)

I'll be getting one for myself soon. And well, I'd probably getting Blueair air purifier, which is represented by my client in my country.

And if you'd like to know more about air purification information, you can have a look at my client's website: Air Purifier and Cirulator Dealer

Til then, have a great breathe today!

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. The word Fa Cai is the same word as the one above, meaning, "Wishing You Wealth" or "Wishing You A Prosperous Year!"

For Cantonese, the word eight (baat3) sounds the same as the word 'prosper' (faat3) as well.

Looks Like Double Joy

Another saying is that, the roman character 88 has a visual resemblance with the word 'double joy', a popular decorative used for weddings, birthdays of a very senior person, festive celebrations etc.

This word 'double joy' is made up of 2 'joy' (xi) characters.

Some decorative paper arts cut into 'double joy' character.

There's also a claim that a telephone number with all the digits being eights was sold for USD$270,723 in Chengdu, china!

And if you've notice, the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Beijing began on 8/8/08 at 8 seconds and 8 minutes past 8 pm (local time).

So, I guess Beijing must be very prosperous since then!

Paying Hefty Sum For Car Number Plate?

In addition, a man in Hangzhou offered to sell his license plate reading A88888 for RMB 1.12 million (roughly $164,000 USD).

In my country, people will go to the extend to get good numbers for their car number plate, 8 are normally included. And they have to pay an arm and a leg to get those numbers, and it's good money for the road authority in my country.

Frankly, I wouldn't do that for my car number plate.

But, this is what I'll do... for you.

From today... err... yes 18 January. That is why the dinner on the eve is also known as Reunion Dinner (Tuan Yuan Fan).

There are some interesting traditions been practiced during the Chinese New Year in general.

Let's see some of them and their origins...

1) Red: We're Loving It!

It was said in the ancient time, the earth was full of venomous snakes and ferecious beasts. One of these creature is known and Nian. (The character Nian also means 'Year')

On the New Year Eve, Nian would roam in the city and devour people.

The people were depressed and would lock themselves indoor during that time.

Then came an old man who volunteered himself to fight Nian.

The Old Man Challenged Nian...

This old man went straight to the mountain and challenged Nian, "If you think you're so strong, prove yourself. Would you dare to eat the venomous snakes in the forests?"

Nian accepted the challenge and sucked up all the snakes into its stomach.

"At the back of the mountain, there are many fierce beasts. Can you defeat them?" The old man threw another challenge.

Again, Nian accepted the challenge and crushed those beasts and drove them away.

"Ahh, now you're qualify to eat me. But let me take out my robes first," said the old man.

The old man took of his robe and revealed a red undergarment.

Nian Defeated By Red

Nian was afraid of seeing red! Nian was so scare that it pleaded with the old man, "Please, I'll do what you say, but please put away that color!"

"Alright, I'll put it away. But you must not harm the people ever again," the old man demanded.

"Yes, yes! I'll do what you say," Nian nodded. "I'll be your humble servant from now on!"

The old man had finally defeated Nian, and went back to the city and told the people that Nian would no longer appear in the city from then onward.

He told the people that Nian is most terrified of red, and so from then on, people would paste red paper on the front door to prevent Nian from coming back again.

Now, you can see Chinese pasting red paper couplets (two rows of writing, usually rhymed.); hanging decorations and paper arts in red and gold; hanging red lattern; giving red packets (Hong Bao); wearing red dresses or clothes etc.

Here, these are some pictures of the 'red' stuffs I've just mentioned:

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; A owner of the island, Qing Hongjun saved him and treated him with great hospitality.

Before Ou Ming left the island, Qing offered a gift to Qu Ming, but on one condition - he can only choose one.

Qing had a big collection of precious stones, gems, jewelleries, gold bars etc, and Ou Ming didn't know how to choose. Qing's servant gave him a hint: Ru Yuan was the real treasure.

Ru Yuan, The Treasure

Ou Ming decided to listen to the servant and asked for Ru Yuan. It turn out to be a beautiful servant girl.

Qing honored the request and sent them off. Before that, Qing gave Ru Yuan a box of jewelleries as the dowry.

When they returned home, Ou Ming treated Ru Yuan well until one day, Ru Yuan gave the jewellery box and the key to Ou Ming saying, "Please do not take me as an outsider. You may keep the box of jewellery."

Ou Ming Changed...

From then onward, Ou Ming changed. He treated Ru Yuan badly; put her to work long hours; hit her whenever he's in foul mood; and served him like a king.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Ou Ming wanted to hit Ru Yuan because she got up late that day.

Ru Yuan ran while Ou Ming kept on chasing. There was a broom outside the compound, and when Ru Yuan ran pass it, she jumped into the broom and vanished since then.

All Gone!

All the jewellery from the box flew and vanished together into the broom!

Ou Ming became a beggar since then.

Therefore, after cleaning the homes on the New Year Eve, the Chinese would hide their brooms, and do not allow sweeping on the New Year day, fearing that it will 'sweep' their fortunes away.

3) The Bamboo Firecracker

The bamboo firecrackers are red in color, in the form of a small cylinder. Most of the time, these small cylinders are tied up together in a line. When lit, it will make quick successive cracks, as one explodes after another.

Decoration made to look like the bamboo fire cracker

There's also a story of how bamboo firecracker is been lit during Chinese New Year.

It was said that once, on the mountain full of bamboo grove, lived a group of strange creatures which were only one foot tall and had only one leg.

They Attacked On New Year Day

Anyone passed by the mountain during the New Year day would be attacked and robbed by them.

One one New Year day, these creatures attacked a man, and the man resisted, and managed to capture one of the them and tied up.

The man wanted to bring the creature to the magistrate and when others saw him with the creature, they asked him to release it immediately because it would bring sickness to whoever came near it.

True enough, that man fell into sickness on the spot, and other built some fire to keep him warm. In order to make the fire bigger, they threw in some bamboo pieces into the fire.

Suddenly, there were creatures surrounding them, ready to attack! Before they could come near, the bamboo pieces in the fire exploded and made loud cracking noises.

Defeated By The Cracking Noise!

The creatures were terrified and ran away.

"Aha! So these creatures are afraid of the sounds of burning bamboo tubes! They are so terrified that they have fled, " exclaimed one of the man.

Since then, people would burn bamboo tubes to scare these creatures away. This became a tradition during Chinese New Year - burning bamboo fire cracker to scare away evil beings.

When I was a child, I loved playing fire crackers with friends on Chinese New Year... too bad our government had banned this practice years ago! :(

4) Other Traditions...

There are other Chinese New Year traditions which I didn't write about yet:

1) Writing Spring Couplets
2) Hanging Red Latterns
3) Dragon Lattern Dance
4) Lion Dance
5) Origin Of New Year Cards
6) Red Packets or Ya Shui Money

Perhaps, if I can get more information on these, I would love to share the stories with you.

Up And Coming...

Now, there's another tradition, or rather superstition believed by some Chinese, which is not related to Chinese New Year. I'm doing some research on it now, and I'll write about it in 3 day's time, that is, on the 18 January 2009.

Till then, have a great day, and if you're a Chinese, "Happy Preparing For Chinese New Year!" (I'll wish you Happy CNY on 18 Jan, OK?)

Guan
Tai Chi Breathing
Spa Salt Ginger Oil
Chinese Story Wisdom

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. Only!

I could have been slimmer by at least 2 inches, but I only managed to shred off about an 1 inch. I noticed this more obviously 2 days ago when I went to buy jeans and trousers for Chinese New Year.

Actually, my belt has shown this earlier...

You see, I wore my belt on the third hole... it went to fourth now. In fact, it had once went to the fifth hole, but well, thanks to my laziness, and all those partying and good food.

Here's the picture of my belt:

Click the picture to enlarge

I didn't capture the photo of me wearing the belt on 3rd hole, but the buckle mark can be seen as the prove of my 'fatness'.

Now that I'm wearing consistently on the 4th hole, the buckle mark can be seen there as well.

Now, was it the other way round, from 4th to 3rd?

Let's see me wearing it now:

Click the picture to enlarge

1 inch may not be an achievement (that's why it took me until now to mention it), but another two confessions:

1. I hardly do any exercise during this 1 month period.
2. I didn't reduce my food intake, and feast quite a fair bit during the festive seasons...

Actually, I just wanted to test whether I can lose fat without dieting, and it turned out that, I can still lose fat by eating a lot... it's just slower.

On top of those, I didn't follow the correct way to slim with Spa Salt...

The Correct Ways To Slim Down With Spa Salt

OK, this is I'm supposed to do:

1. I should use the Spa Salt twice a day for greater effects. Sometimes, I only use once a day, and sometimes, I didn't use at all. (My bad... laziness did creep in at times.)

2. I should press down when massaging. I only realised this much later.

3. I should apply the Spa Salt dry, not with water! (Liz just told me this.)

If I have time, I can wrap up with my tummy with Spa Salt for 5-10 minutes for even faster effects. (Yeah, Liz just told me this too!)

On Top Of That...

Of course, top up with some exercises, and eat reasonably, anyone could shred off the inches and pounds easily with Eliz Spa Sea Salt.

So, from now, I will be doing all these! You know that I must throw out 'laziness' from my vocabulary.

Let's say this is my 2009 New Year Resolution.

Because, if I were to share with you some news, you'll know why I've made this resolution...

These People Motivated Me To Make Resolutions To Slim Down!

Just after the new year, me and Janice met up with Liz and we've shared a lot of things. Yes, those tips above were mentioned at that time.

Liz showed us some photographs and told us some amazing stories:

1) Roslinah Md. Ali of Kelana Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, bought Eliz Spa Sea Salt with Ginger Root Oil on the 8 Dec 2008, and within the short 25 days, she has shredded 2 inches from her tummy! *Looking at her admiringly*

Roslinah: Left was before, and the right is after

Roslinah returned on 29 Dec 2009 and bought another 4 bottles.

2) Charmaine Low of Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, a 23 years old lady shredded 1 inch within 2 day with Eliz Spa Sea Salt with Ginger Root Oil! She did it mainly because her metabolism rate is much higher, and she's young.

3) Suzanne Yeo of Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia slimmed down by 7kg in one and a half month's time.

Suzanne Yeo posing after slimming down

4) Mrs. Lai, a 55 years old lady, who has used Eliz Spa Sea Salt with Ginger Root Oil for 1 year plus has a very smooth and beautiful skin... well, let the picture speaks for itself:

Mrs. Lai & Liz, Aug 2008

Now, now, now... I really can't wait to shred more from my tummy... because Chinese New Year is coming!

Chinese New Year Coming!

That means, more food and goodies!

And oh, I'll be writing something interesting about Chinese New Year in about 2 days' time...

Those of you who knows that I translate Chinese stories at Chinese Story Wisdom would probably know that I have a lot of cultural stories to share, e.g. Chinese New Year stories etc. *wink*

So, be on the look out of my next blog post, scheduled on the 15 January 2009. Till then, see ya!

Guan
Spa Salt Ginger Root Oil

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. This place, Regency Hotel, offers such a nice place, the Coconut Grove, a nice restaurant just by the beach.

You got to savour delicious cuisines from various cultures, e.g. Western, Japanese, Locals, Vegetarians etc while the cool soothing sea breeze dances constantly on your face.

...With Live Band Playing...

And it's a coincidence that our telecommunication company TM Bhd had their staff dinner there.

The 4 piece live band hired by them were simply splendid! Both the male and female vocals had powerful and beautiful voice.

Their lovely musics made us felt as if the sea breeze were dancing to their rythym!

Too bad we didn't get to grab hold of the band's name...

...And Fireworks On The Night Sky...

Then, suddenly there's bang, boom, bang across the horizon!

Someone, for some celebrative reasons perhaps, fired up the fire crackers and it decorated the night sky with colorful and vibrant patterns and flowery displays!

It's a wow for all of us! How lucky were we!

Truly A Night To Remember!

The dinner by the sea side... it's a great night for all of us; something to remember for a long, long time!

Too bad I forgot to bring along my camera... but, my friends took quite a lot of photos using his mobile phone. I'll post them up here once I've gotten the files from him. *wink*

Early next day, we went to dip in the sea water again.

The beach was empty. Guess most of them were still tired after their partying last night.

The golden morning sun added brilliance to the otherwise dull quiet beach.

We left Port Dickson on Sunday afternoon, and all of us came back feeling more rejuvenated and energized.

A Special Tips To Share...

Now, this is something I want to share with you...

My right hand was stiff and painful when I went there. Well, too much computering around. Yup, that's the hand which grabs the mouse for endless hours.

Like we have shared before, sea salt has cleansing effects. Not only it can cleanse away your negative emotion, it can also cleanse away your negative energy.

By cleansing away negative energy, it'll let your body (or whichever part) heals faster.

The Healing Sea Water

In another word, sea water (sea salt) can heal. I believe some of you had this experience - after a swim or dip in the sea water, you'll feel lighter, more energized, more comfortable, more relax, or you just simply feel good, haven't you?

Now, you just have to do it more deliberately in order to heal faster...

So, this was what I've done: While dipping in the sea water that evening, I visualise grey and black matter (representing dirty energy) broke away from my right hand and got disolved by the sea water.

I did that for only few minutes.

Well, not because I was worred about how my friends were looking at me closing my eyes and stood there as if I did nothing. All of them were doing their own cleansing visualisation as well!

Just A Few Minutes Will Do

It's simply because few minutes was sufficient.

I had a good rest that night, and when I woke up the next day, I can move my fingers flexibily and the pain was no longer there!

Hmm... sounds unbelievable, right?

How about this, why don't you try it yourself before making conclusion yourself?

And please, try it with an open mind. If ever you have doubt about this, leave it. It's because when your mind has doubt, it will not work because you're sending the wrong message to your mind, and it'll just carry out your instruction impartially.

Doubt is an instruction to your mind, asking it not to make it work!

Have faith, and it'll work for you!

A Side Note: Spa Sea Salt With Ginger Root Oil Extends The Offer

Because we were away, having a good time in Port Dickson, we didn't have the time to change the pricing for our spa sea salt with ginger root oil at http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com in time. Yup, it was supposed to be increased back to the standard price after 30 November 2008.

Therefore, we decided to extend the promotional launching price further until midnight next Monday, 8 December 2008. So, if you want to have a fairer skin and slimmer body, grab the opportunity to save $10.00 now at: http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com

The same goes to our affiliate program for the product, which is supposed to be up by 1 December 2008. We'll put it up after 8 December 2008 as well.

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. Therefore, it is now been used as a beauty agent as well.

Now, how does sea salt works on your skin?

Sea Salt As Antiseptic

Firstly, sea salt can act as an antiseptic. It kills germs very effectively.

Thus, if you have wound, applying sea salt helps your wound heal much faster.

Wait a minute!

Adding salt to the wound?

Yes, it maybe a little bit painful at first, but the fact is - your wound will heal faster, and it'll leave no wound marks.

So, what bad is there to add salt to the wound, right?

High Mineral Content And Multiple Functions...

Secondly, sea salt contains high concentration of potassium, sodium, chlorine, magnesium and 92 other essential minerals.

These minerals help increasing your metabolism rate, cleanse your skin deeply, and act as anti-inflammation and antiseptic agents.

Proksch E, Nissen HP, Bremgartner M, and Urquhart C from the University of Kiel's Department of Dermatology in Germany have examined volunteers who bathed in the sea salt solution and found them to have improved skin barrier function and reduced skin roughness and inflammation.

Therefore, they concluded that there is positive benefits of bathing in the sea salt solution mainly due to its high magnesium content.

As such, using sea salt for your skin is likely to make your skin healthier, smoother and reduce inflammation.

It helps to reduce the size of the skin pores; removes oily skin, pigmentation, dead skins by boosting the function of your sweat glands and sebaceous glands.

These two gland systems function to help you remove aged and dead skins from your body, enabling the new skin to surface and breathe.

Imagine to show the world your new skin at anytime you want to...

Sea Salt Removes Fat Effectively!

Thirdly sea salt is known to also remove fat!

Although much researches are still needed to prove this, we've tested applying sea salt in tummy areas; areas underneath the arm; hip areas etc, and found that it does help to inch down the size in matter of days.

This is not a surprise, since applying sea salt on your skin also increases your metabolism rate. Increased metabolism rate means more fat will be burn in the process.

On top of that, sea salt has similar molecular structure as our blood cells, and when it is applied on your skin, it will be easily absorbed into the blood system and lymph through the skin.

It will then help to remove old cells, toxic and fat from the blood system and lymph, which leads to beauty effect as well.

Sea Salt For Beauty And Slimming

This may be new, but sea salt is proven to have great benefits on your skin and slimming.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that you include sea salt blend in your beauty product collection. More so if you want to throw off some of those excessive fat from your body.

To enjoy 6 functions of sea salt plus ginger root oil for slimming, whitening, hydrating, firming, purifying and removing pigmentation, go now to http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com today.

Guan

P.S. - Enjoy a $10.00 instant saving until 30 November 2008 by clicking this today: http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com.

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. I have been getting a lot of positive response.

Now, that just feeeeeeeeel good!

So, instead of just sharing with you about the sea salt product, I'm going to share more techniques with you.

Are you in for it?

Today, I'll be sharing with you simple techniques to increase your energy level instantly.

Yup, it's from the workshop I've attended.

Technique #1: Eyes On Crown And Third Eye

1. Gently close your eyes.

2. Look up towards the top of your head. Do this in relax manner. You don't have to exactly move your eyes all the way up, but you can sort of imagine that you're looking at the top of your head.

This is the Crown chakra, the entry point of universal energy.

3. Then, quickly move your eyes down to look to your front. In the same time, imagine a bright white light shoot out from your third eye (the area between your eye brows.)

4. Repeat this until you feel energized again.

I've tried this before, and it did take around 5-6 times in order to feel energized again. Some may need less, while some may need to do more.

It depends on your current energy level.

Technique #2: Pyramid Wordings

1. Cut a small piece of white paper into a pyramid shape. (Triangle)

2. On the pyramid, using a blue ink pen, you can write wordings like "Thank You", "Love", or short prayers. (In our case, we write "Om Mani Padme Hum" like the following...).

3. Paste the pyramid on your water tank, casing, tupperware, bottle or anything you use to keep drinking water.

4. Drink the water, and you'll be energized.

Try These Also...

This pyramid with blue wordings can also be used to protect yourself from radiation from TV, computer, handphone etc. I've pasted one on my notebook, and I found that I don't feel that heaty after working long hours on it.

If you paste it around your rooms area, it'll improve the energy field in the room.

Me and Janice has done this a lot, and we can feel the difference...

So, go try it!

Want more?

OK, here you go... one more technique:

Technique #3: Circular Wordings

1. A little similar with technique #2, this time, you can draw words which carries the meaning of love, compassion, gratefulness, or prayers around your photo or image, on a piece of paper.

Of course, you can draw this around your families and friends.

This is like drawing on the universal power (or god's blessing) to surround and protect the person from harm, radiation, and bad influence.

Sound's like illogical, but it has worked for many. I'm sure it'll work for you. After all, how can we mortal doubt the universe or god*, right?

*Note: when I write 'god' here, it means the god of your creed or belief, or buddha or bodhisattvas, or if you're a free-thinker, then the universe.

2. You can also draw words which carries the meaning of love, compassion, gratefulness, or prayers around the photo, or image of your house or room, on a piece of paper.

This will surround your house or room with positive energy and protect the people in the house or room from harm, radiation, negative energy etc.

Try this out too!

Now, if you use any one of these, and those that I've shared on Wednesday, and found it to be helpful and beneficial to you, or your families and friends, I've served my purpose. :)

You don't have to continue reading after this point.

Just a side note...

We've mentioned that we'll be launching a new website, introducing sea salt product, right?

It's for slimming, whitening, firming, hydrating and removing pigmentation.

Yup, it's a beauty product. I don't have to say more.

There's a video which was taken on me on that site. *wink*

If you're interested to know more about sea salt and ginger root oil, you can go to: http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com.

Be sure to watch the video there, OK?

Again, I stress here: You don't have to go to that site.

Go only if you're interested, OK?

Here's the address again: http://www.SpaSaltGingerOil.com

Till then, I'll talk to you soon.

Guan
http://www.TaichiBreathing.com

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. She has been working to promote physical, mental and spiritual health for decades.

I was fortunate to be able to attend that workshop because I benefited so much from it.

As a sign of appreciating what Dr. Lai has taught us, I would like to share her message with everyone else.

Emotion Has Effect On Your Health...

You see, our emotion has tremendous effect on our health. If the health at the spiritual and emotional level is not in optimum level, so does the physical health.

I think you would agree with me, don't you?

Imagine when you're angry... your heart is pumping fast, the blood gushing through the veins, you'd probably sweat, you body might tremble, etc. Does it feel nice to be angry?

Unlikely.

Since it doesn't feel nice, definitely, the body won't feel nice either.

To Be Healthy, Manage Your Emotion First!

So, the first thing I would like to share with you now would be: how to manage your emotion easily.

Dr. Lai taught us many methods, but I like these two the most.

It will help you reduce your anger, fear, frustration, uneasiness, moodiness and any negative emotion.

I've shared the first method with a friend who was depressed last week. And the result is just amazing!

She felt better, more encouraged and was up to face her challenges in a matter of days.

I was surprised too!

So, let's see these two methods:

1. Rotate Your Eyes.

This is the method which I've shared with the friend who was depressed as mentioned about.

Now, I would expect some doubtful glare from some people when I say this...

Dr. Lai said the same thing.

People prefer complexity, than simplicity.

"So simple?" people would probably ask. "Does it work?"

Well, it may be simple, but it work.

Even if you're doubtful about it, since it's simple, and does not cost you anything, why not give it a try for a few days first before making your conclusion?

Right?

So, how does this method work?

Here you go...

a) First, rotate your eyes in clockwise direction for 3 times - imagine there's a big clock in front of you. Look at 11 o'clock, then move your eyes to 12, 1, 2, 3 and so on until it's back to 12. That's considered 1 time. Do this for 3 times.

b) Then, rotate your eyes in anti clockwise direction for many times until your emotion subsizes - imagine there's a big clock in front of you. Look at 1 o'clock, then move your eyes to 12, 11, 10, 9 and so on until you're back to 12. Do this many times until you feel comfortable.

This is my favorite methods, because you can do it anytime, anywhere, as and when the needs arises.

Well, if you feel embarrassed to do it in public places... (Yeah, imagine what will others said when they see your eyes rotating around!)

Then, you can close your eyes, and rotate. I've tested it before, and it works just fine.

2. Sea Salt Bath.

Now, this is also another good method. I've learned this in my Pranic healing before, and when Dr. Lai mentioned it again, it's a reminder for me.

I've done many salt bath before (using unrefined rock salt), but never sea salt.

Dr. Lai suggested sea salt.

I went about doing research about sea salt, and I found that it's really amazing.

Not only it helps cleansing your negative energy (negative energy are generated when there's negative emotion, and in the same time, negative energy can lead to negative emotion.), it also makes you relax, increase blood circulation etc.

Dr. Lai also taught another interesting method:

Put some sea salt in a cup or glass. Hope the cup or glass in front of your stomach, and imagine negative energy (usually something greyish) going into the glass. It'll help to remove negative energy from your body as well.

It works just well!

More On Sea Salt...

Now, incidentally, I came across an interesting product base on sea salt from a friend. I'll be sharing this product with you soon, once the website is officially launched.

The launching date of the site has been fixed on November 8, 2008. This is purely a SEO project.

She’ll be having another project launched soon. I’ll keep you posted once it is officially launched. Currently, I’m working on setting up her website for her.

Of course, I’m also involved in many other projects… which I’ll post them here as and when it is officially launched and running. They are very exciting indeed!

Most of them will be up just before we’re closing off for the Chinese New Year, which is coming on the 8th February this year.

So, be on the look out! :)

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. You might find it an overwhelming decision with so many choices available. The truth is there’s plenty to consider before making any final decisions to pursue your overseas dreams. It’s not just about picking the best picture postcard of your dream home.

Whether you are looking for a second home...a holiday home...a retirement home...an investment home, Penang, Malaysia has it all! Found off the north coast of Malaysia, this little island doubles as a tourist and expatriate magnet. Malaysia’s secret weapon, Penang with its natural beauty and exotic heritage has attracted many curious visitors to its shores.

A place of mysterious temples and tropical beaches lined with palm trees was the backdrop that famous British novelist, Somerset Maugham used as he spun stories about the romance of the colonial white planter in South-East Asia.

But, why Malaysia you may ask? It’s all about Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H)! The MM2H program is an attractive package that the Malaysian government has designed to attract in particular retirees to come to Malaysia and set up home here. Malaysia offers a myriad of reasons for an expatriate to settle permanently here. And most of all Malaysians are willing to welcome you into their hearts and homes.

Retirees will find that life is much more fun and relaxed while living in Penang, Malaysia, which is a retiree’s haven with ample time on their hands to pursue all those dreams and hobbies which they have never found time for. Cultivating exotic orchids in your garden, taking yoga classes, improving your handicap in golf, having time to try out recipes that you have been saving from magazines, helping out at a charity home are some of the hobbies that may be pursued.

Penang’s exceptional low cost of living and tax-friendly system is most attractive to retirees and foreigners looking for a second home. Property and rental costs are low. Shopping for food in the well-stocked supermarkets is cheap. This is achieved through the Government’s efficient monitoring of the economy in ensuring that inflation is kept low at all times and thereby also the prices of goods and services. A retiree’s pension when transferred to Malaysia will stretch much further than in their home country.

Buying property in Penang is fairly easy. The most popular belt for foreigners to settle along is the exotic northern coastal area, where the most desirable neighbourhoods can be found, with its white sandy beaches and sea-facing apartments and condominiums with million-dollar views. Wake up in the morning to a gentle breeze from the sea, a clear blue sky splashed with the vibrant colors of a rising sun and far off fishing boats bringing in the day’s catch.

A growing expatriate community needs quality new accommodation, in up-market central districts. There are several options – bungalows, semi-detached homes, apartments and condominiums. Penang boasts of many high end condominiums with state-of-the-art facilities like pool, gym, well-maintained lifts, 24-hour security coverage, ample parking, beautiful landscaped gardens and convenience stores within the complex.

Penang today is very much a blend of the old and the new - a bustling port, a heritage city, and an industrial base. Perhaps it has more to offer per square mile than any other place in the world.

Recommended Property:
Infinity, Penang - The very last beachfront living in resort condo style along Tanjung Bungah's beach, Penang, Malaysia, brought to you by Hunza, the premier real estate and property developer in Penang, Malaysia: http://www.Hunza-Infinity.com

C. What's that?"

Well, in our country, internet marketing is still very new... and people tend to associate that with pyramid system, scams, spams, or even... porns...

So, that response is very standard... with a very curious eyes staring down at me.

"Well, I sell stuffs on the internet, like e-books, courses and contents."

"Oh? Interesting."

Well, frankly, if they are interested, they would normally ask the following question:

"How do you do that?"

If they don't ask, I really doubt their reply: "Oh? Interesting."

Anyway, that's one question which I was frequently asked...

"How do you sell over the Internet?"

Well look, I'm not here to teach anyone internet marketing.

In fact, I rarely do, even though I'm a trainer too.

Recently, on 20-21st Oct, my internet marketing teacher, Patric Chan conducted a workshop.

Because there were some (in fact, quite a lot of them) that are very new to the business, so he asked me to conduct a Pre-Workshop day.

That's the very rare occasion I stood out to speak about internet marketing.

Well, in that Pre-Workshop day, I didn't really touch on the 'marketing' aspect. I was more like a 'how-to' instructor, like how to buy and point the domain dns; how to setup hosting and email; how to create their webpages, etc.

And here are some pictures of me in action that day.

The next question which I was frequently asked is...

"Since you're not teaching internet marketing, there are so many programs online. Which one should I take?"

Now, before this, I would have blurted out some names, including Patric's.

But then, I notice that those who are new would be confused... and will be 'confuser' after getting more courses.

Only recently, I notice this new site and I found that the e-books which they are offering are a very good start up guide for those who are new to internet marketing.

In fact, even if you're already a seasoned internet marketer, you would benefit from their financial planning information.

I was glad that finally, someone stood up and tells what's true, and what's hyped up claims, made about internet marketing. And the solutions which they offer were not something others are already doing.

No secrets. No underground stuff. Just plain common sense which is based on logic and verifiable observations.

Well, you may say that I am speaking highly of them. I can't help but to do so. Their products are good.

What's more?

Their website is using the medieval concepts - yup about swords, armor, dragons and wizards.

I admit - I was drawn to that because I'm also a hardcore fan of medieval stuffs, like Lord of the Ring, King Arthur etc.

Well, you are probably as excited now - what's this site?

OK, here you go:

http://www.TheNewbieHeroes.com

Now, you'll notice that I didn't put any funny coding on the link. Yup, not my affiliate link.

I recommend them because I really feel that it'll help anyone who is involved in internet marketing, be it newbie or seasoned player.

I've personally read their e-books. It's good. I like what they're saying there.

So, you can go and have a look now:

http://www.TheNewbieHeroes.com

Now, after this, perhaps, I'll be asked frequently... "Who are these Newbie Heroes."

To that question, I can only answer, "I don't know!"

Perhaps they'll reveal their true identity after some time. Hopefully.

Now, my frequently asked question has come to an end.

I'm going to do my sword-fighting in the vast land of Middle Kingdom called the Internet, and make my living. :)

Guan
http://www.TaichiBreathing.com

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. And I'm practicing it all these while.

You'll probably wonder - since I've known and been practicing goal setting all these while, how can it still be interesting?

What Could Be So Interesting?

Well, here's the one very interesting exercise which our trainer had asked us to do. It had a great impact on me. Allow me to share with you...

You see, he wanted us to write down 5 of our dreams: 5 things which we really want, and if we don't have it when the judgment day arrives, we won't go in peace.

So, there we go... we wrote down 5 dreams which if we don't have it, or achieve it, we won't 'go' in peace.

Once we've done that, he asked us to assume that we have restrictions and limitations, and we can only have 2 of the 5.

Thus, we have to choose 3 to strike off.

Actually, it wasn't that difficult to do so... though I have to ponder about it, for a while when I was left with only 3.

So, there it went, only 2 most important dreams left on the list.

Then, here came the toughest part...

Here's The Toughest Part Of The Exercise...

He asked us to strike one more off from the list, and leave the one dream which is the most important to us.

I stared at the paper for a long, long time!

I couldn't do it.

I wasn't sure about others. I certainly had a tough time deciding... so much so I was about to ask the trainer, "Can I not strike out any of the the 2?"

Well, you may ask - what's so difficult about striking out one? After all, it's only an exercise done in a workshop.

You're right. Absolutely right.

I was in a situation where I had put in emotions when I first wrote down those goals, and to chose between the 5 to strike off, I was actually involved emotionally.

I was doing it very seriously.

The Purpose Vs The Means

You see, the 2 dreams which I had difficulty to strike off one, is because: one dream is the purpose; while the other one is the means to achieve this purpose.

Without the means, I cannot achieve the purpose. Without the purpose, the means is, well, no pun intended: meaningless.

Suddenly, I see my sense of purpose so much clearer than before.

You Can't Achieve Anything Without One Or Another!

I realized that without a clear purpose, whatever means you try to achieve - it'll be very shallow. Soon, you'll stress and tired yourself out.

Without the means, many purposes cannot be achieved. That's a raw fact.

For example, if you want to stay healthy, that's a purpose. What you need is a 'vehicle'... a means to achieve that purpose. Just like what I've shared with others in my Tai Chi Breathing website - showing them a means to achieve their health purpose.

That brought me to realize that, if you want to do something, you have to find reasons for doing it. You have to have a sense of purpose of doing it.

Having The Sense Purpose Is Very Important...

Like what Anthony Robbins said, "The 'Why' is more important than the 'How'"

So, once you have that, you need a proper means: which can be tools, techniques, resources, people, systems, methods, solution, science, help, guide or whatever that you can use to achieve that purpose.

Usually, the means of achieving your purpose, especially if you have a very strong and compelling purpose, is not difficult to find. It will usually 'emerge' miraculously in front of your eyes. Of course, please don't take the word 'emerge' literally here.

As the saying goes, "There's a will, there's a way."

The Means Will Come By...

If you have a clear purpose in life, or in whatever that you're doing, the 'way' is not that difficult to look for.

And for that matter - in fact, I was thinking of finding some way to get a clearer picture of my personal goals and my life purposes.

At some point of time, I was asking myself constantly - what is the real purpose and direction of my life. What is it that I want to do for the rest of my years. Is there anything about myself which I didn't know, or is there any real purpose in life which I have not aware of?

And guess what?

A Journey Of Discovery On Thursday...

The workshop on Thursday 'appeared' in front of me. A friend told me about it without me seeking pro-actively for it.

That workshop was the means for me to achieve the purpose of looking for a clearer sense of purpose in life. (No pun intended.) It's also for me to discover if there's any not-so-obvious and hidden purposes or goals which I have yet to realize.

Now, talk about miracle!

In fact, the trainer asked us at the beginning of the workshop, what was our expectation from the workshop. What I expected to discover at the end of the day. And my answer was exactly what I've written in the bold statement above.

And of all the activities and exercises, this is the one which I found most attracting because it has a 'purpose' --- to let me see more clearly what is the purpose in my life. It is a specific means for me to find out the answer which I've been seeking for.

So, what's my point here, as a conclusion?

Yes, you could have guessed it by now.

Who Else Needs A Sense Of Purpose?

My 'purpose' of sharing this with you so that you can find 'purposes' for your life, and in whatever that you do.

And of course, the achievement of your 'purpose' will not drop from the sky onto your lap. It will not be achieved, unless you have a means to do so.

Then again, if your purpose is strong and compelling enough, the means will come along. You will definitely find it. There's no problem so big until there's no solution to it.

Once you have discovered the means - do it. Take action. Achieve your purpose. And don't wait for the means to pass you by... and your purposed left hanging.

Purpose --> Means --> Action

Take for example, if I didn't go for the workshop, I may have missed the boat - the means to see my life goals clearer...

So, if there's a means appearing in front of you for you to achieve your purpose - go ahead and do it right away.

So, you can conclude that in order to achieve something meaningful and great, you must:

1) Have a strong and compelling reason and purpose for your goals.

2) Be aware of the 'means' and ways that could possibly help you achieving your purpose.

3) Take action right away.

And all the best to you! :)

Guan
http://www.TaichiBreathing.com

P.S. - if you are looking for a way to achieve better health, take action now and click this link to see if the 'means' could possibly be the one you're looking for: Tai Chi Breathing.

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. (nice experience, though)

Trying to put relationships in place... especially when the other family is involved, emotionally! *sweat*

Mum Fell Down!

Mum fell down and has to be operated to replace her hip joint...

She fell again one morning after the operation, sort of fainted... (sigh!)

Well, it's OK now. She's recovering perfectly well now. Just took her to psychio yesterday. The guy there, Raymond told us that she's doing perfectly well. Phew! *relieved*

For the whole of last 2 weeks, after posted "I'm Back!", I was trying to sort out my online activities again.

Back...In Focus Now!

My sites were up and running again.

I've begun writing articles again.

And ah... I'm updating my blogs again. Will make it as regularly as possible.

Now, you'll probably be asking: Why now? Why not earlier?

Emmm... well, I did mention that we can be easily distracted, didn't I?

I've been sharing with others about Tai Chi Breathing, which can help them staying focus. And why didn't I?

I'm Guilty Of...

Well, I must admit: I have not been practicing what I've been teaching myself! OMG!

How can this be?

So, that's the problem. Running all around, and I thought, well, those practices can wait.

And you know what? It got worse!

Until one fine day, I sat down and thought to myself, "Hey! Am I missing something?"

And then, I realized that I ignored things which are important and beneficial for me.

So, now that I've begun practicing again, and put my life in perspective. And stay focus.

I'm beginning to settle down, and can spend more time doing what matters to me most - My Passion!

Passion And Focus

Yup - having a passion helps you stay focus. It's like what the motivational gurus said - you must have a goal, a dream, a direction, or whatever.

So, even if you do not practice 'secret' methods like I do, you can still stay focus by having a direction, a goal, a dream, a decision or whatever that you've always wanted to do.

Of course, if you need a boost in staying focus, you're always welcome to my site: Tai Chi Breathing.

I'm Practicing What I'm Sharing With Others Now!

And worry not, I'm sharing with you practices which I myself IS practicing now! Haha!

This is important to me, and to you, isn't it? I must do what I preach to others, mustn't I?

And also, I'm staying focus on my online activities again. Yup, these matters a lot to me too.

So, go ahead now. Get yourself focus onto something which matters to you most today!

And do drop by Tai Chi Breathing to see if you might be interested to share my techniques. ;)

And yes, may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!
(Someone told me that I stole this line from Star Wars... and I admit, I'm a hardcore Star Wars fan! *wink*)

Guan
http://www.TaichiBreathing.com

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. "How could you create trouble for your own sister and brother-in-law, you heartless idiot?"

The other one was sneering, ready to spring into action...

Leong, the owner of the center, was speechless and dumbfounded!

I was equally surprised.

These 2 are gangsters from another state. They belong to one of the powerful 'association' there.

They were angry; full of fire 'fused' by Leong's very own brother-in-law next door...

A Nasty Fight Could Happen Anything!

I sat there; witnessing perhaps a scene which I can only get to watch in TV! Now, this is real thing, right in front of my very own eyes!

As I watched them, a nasty fight could explode anytime then, like a ignited dynamite.

Though I dislike fighting, at that moment, if Leong is threatened, I wouldn't hesitate to join in and fight off the duo.

Now, why would I stand up for Leong, even if I have to risk facing the powerful mobs?

Alright, I'll come back to the fighting scene shortly. Let us first hop onto a time machine and go back to early last year...

Leong's Brother-in-Law

Now, you know that the thugs were 'fired up' by Leong's brother-in-law, right?

Leong's brother-in-law, let's just call him, Mr. Cunning (You'll see shortly why I use that name!).

He was from another state, in which he had ran into many self-created troubles.

The mobs are looking for him because he laid one of the leader's mistress. He owed money to the loan shark. His Chinese medicine practice, which he inherited from his father was in bad shape because of malpractices...

Well, I confirmed these facts from another person, Jeff, who has links to the 'association' of that particular state. Or, just put it this way: Jeff is one of them.

A Banished Stray Dog...

So, because of those troubles, Mr. Cunning was sort of 'banished' from that state, and he came to Leong for help, like a poor stray dog...

He was penniless, and homeless as well.

Leong took pity of him; gave him a place to stay, and a space in his center for him to continue his Chinese medicine practice, hopefully that he'll learn from his mistakes.

Wrong move! Seriously wrong decision, which Leong regretted so much later!

Why?

Read on...

The Trouble Began...

Within a short span of few months, Mr. Cunning bought a new car, a new house and move out of Leong's decent abode. He could even lead a luxury life.

What do you think of that? Can Chinese medicine practice pull in so much profits in just a few month's time?

Well, Mr. Cunning's medicine was sold for a price range between $200-$500. And what was his cost?

Less than $20.00!

So, not a bad profit, isn't it?

But seriously, it's not about him making so much money. Remember what had happened to his practices in his home state?

Yes, it was in bad shape, due to... malpractices!

Using Banned Ingredients!

It was proven by some of his patients that he included some banned ingredients, which released pain almost instantly, giving people a false sense of recovery.

A few of them came back and complained... and guess how he put it?

"Leong asked me to do it this way!" he claimed. "And he took the bigger share because it was his center! I only took 20% of the profit from those medicine!"

A Deadly Dagger Stabbed At The Back!

A nice stab at the back. A perfect betrayal from within! And a face-saving escape for Mr. Cunning. (Now you know why I use that name, but there're more shrewdness coming...)

And oh, I almost forgot to tell you that he didn't pay a single cent for rental, utilities or any expenses, because Leong thought that he was poor and in bad shape. So, Leong just let him be until one fine day...

"This place is too ugly! I heard that in 2nd floor, there're bigger place, which has 2 units joining together. You take one, while I take the other one. Let's decorate it nicely, to show that we're more professional." suggested Mr. Cunning.

Well, been a nice person, and easy going, Leong agreed. After all, that way, he would have to pay for his own rental, utilities and expenses.

The Shift For The Worst...

Thus, August last year, they shifted to the 2nd floor, with each of them renting one unit each, which are next to each other.

There's a door between them, which they can access easily. The door was kept open initially...

Then, it was close most of the time...

A few months later, the door which linked their units... it was completed sealed! Cemented and painted! They were then out of each other's sight for good!

During this 'door' issue period, Mr. Cunning continue defending himself with the same claim he had made earlier, while Leong's reputation is dropping by the millions.

The Back-Stabbing Continues

"That's why I have to seperate from him. Otherwise, I have to continue putting that ingredient, and sell cheap materials at exorbitant price!" Mr. Cunning explained.

The fact was, Mr. Cunning still used the same ingredient, and same cheap materials, but repackaged it to sell at the same price range.

"Now, this are using expensive ingredients. Not the one that Leong asked me to do. And the price is very reasonable!" he claimed.

Why don't Leong do something about it? You may ask, right?

Or could it be true that Leong actually did ask him to mix poor materials and sell it with unreasonable pricing?

How I know Leong...

You see, I got to know Leong since last year.

He owns a massage therapy center, which I had dropped in casually one fine Saturday, to test out his foot reflexology session.

His massaging skills are exceptionally good. I mean, I have tested out many other massage system and masters, and I personally found his to be exceptionally effective.

He's sincere, friendly, approachable and acted very professional. You can feel his positive vibes if you're here, especially if you've been practicing a lot of Tai Chi, meditation or Qigong.

Basically, after that one session, I was stuck with him! I go for his services regularly since then. I took my mum and brothers there too.

You see, to be able to heal others, it's an exceptional gift. If he mis-use it, he wouldn't be able to gain such exceptional level of mastery and healing abilities, don't you think so?

What's more?

A Respected Master Revered By 200 Over Student!

More than 200 students came and studied under him before. With his guidance, many of them went out and opened such centers successfully, or as free-lance massauers.

They constantly call or visit him for guidance and advice, even though they have left. Leong was very respected by his students.

Now, can a lousy personality command such respect and reverence from others? You don't think so, right?

On The Contrary...

I got to know his brother-in-law around the same time. On the contrary, frankly, I don't like his brother-in-law at the very first instance.

The vibes. The body language. (I was trained in reading body language too) The way he talks, and been overly humble. Superficial, I would say.

And he doesn't look into your eyes when he talks to you. He is fidgetting in the same time, as if there's too many thinking in his mind...unfocused, a trait usually appear in people who lies too much, or have other agenda in their mind.

With this alone, you can be sure why I would stand for Leong, and believe in his innocence.

Well, since it's Mr. Cunning's problem, why not do something about it?

Good question!

Confrontations Vs Shrewd PR Skills

Leong had actually confronted him a few times. Most of the time, Mr. Cunning acted weak, humble and as if he's the victim, especialy if Leong's sister (Cunning's wife) was around.

Or otherwise, he would just avoid the confrontation, or walked far from Leong when he saw him around. (You probably would call him the same way we do here: He's a chicken - a way to describe a person without gut!)

This matter was actually brought back to their families, and their family verdict was: Leong's a trouble-maker! Well, Leong seldom goes home.

On the other hand, Mr. Cunning's strength was his PR skills, and he just know how to pull the strings of those who matters.

The First Fight Started And Ended!

There's once, Mr. Cunning managed to sweet talk one of the tenant in that same mall to confront Leong, which ended up with fists throwing and exchange. It was a police case, but Leong was cleared because he was merely self-defending.

That tenant was punched in the face a few times by Leong, and received a fine and warning from the police. (Hurray!)

And guess what Mr. Cunning said of the fight?

"Sigh! How many times did I told him to settle issues peacefully. Why would he engage in fighting? That's terrible! He shouldn't attack Mr. XXX (The Tenant)!"

Now, there's a lot more issues I can share, but to cut the story short, let's go back to the second fight...the two gangsters, where more of their gangs were coming...

Now, The Second One Was About To Explode...

Leong was trying his best to clearly explain the situation, but somehow the thugs wouldn't listen. Leong's sister stormed in too from the next door, and added more fire, in defending her husband.

Without choice left, Leong called Jeff, and get Jeff on the phone to talk to the taller guy.

"What do you mean not to play it BIG? Don't you ever think that we don't have people here! I don't like your voice, and I want you to come here right away. I'll get my people here and play it BIG today!" you can hear the tall guy spoke to Jeff, after a few minutes.

He passed the phone back to Leong, and marched outside, took out his cellphone and start calling. Obviously, he's getting MORE to the party!

A Potential Gang Fight Now!

Now, this is going to be even more thrilling! A gang fight is going to explode soon!

He came back and screamed at Leong, who was still talking to Jeff, "You tell him to get his a** here now. I want to see his face now!"

"Don't play it big..." you can hear him murmuring. "Who does he think he is?"

Leong hung up, and it was only 10 minutes before you can see a group of colored hair, punks, and tough youngster gathering outside Leong's center. There were easily 8-10 of them.

It's going to happen anytime now...

Leong's phone rang again. It's Jeff, and he requested to talk to the tall guy.

"Where are you now? Chicken? Dare not come and play?" sneered the tall guy.

Then, you hear him sneered again, "Who do you think you are? What qualification do you have to ask of my rank?"

It's About Ranking In The 'Association'

"Well since you've asked, I came with H*** (The short guy)"

It's like H***, the shorter guy was of higher ranking in their association...

"What? You know H***? WHO are you?"

"Oh! OK, I'll pass you now to H***" upon which, he passed Leong's cellphone to H***, who was sitting there staring at us.

"Yes, who are you?" H*** had finally spoken, after keeping quiet for the whole episode.

"What? Oh, I see!"

"So, M*** is your father. I see, own people!"

Jeff Was Higher In Rank!

"Oh, OK. It's their family matter. We wouldn't want to intervene too!" He winked to the taller guy and made an indication. The taller guy went out, talked to the gang he had gathered, and looked like the war is about to end.

At this point, if you're here, you would probably felt a bit relieve upon hearing this too, wouldn't you?

Obviously, Jeff's ranking was much higher than theirs. I only knew by then, although I've known Jeff for a while, and that he's linked to some associations too.

H*** hung up the phone and passed it back to Leong.

"You're one family, why don't you guys sit down and settle it yourself, OK? We are outsiders, and we won't get involved in your family matters."

The Fire Was Extingiushed, But The Conflict Continues...

Having said that, he nodded his head to the taller guy, and the whole gang left Leong's center untouched. It was peacefully resolved. The fire was peacefully extingiushed.

Phew! Now, that's just exciting!

The center was quiet after they've left. We sat there in silence for a while...

Leong looked at me, with a relieving sigh and a pair of grateful eyes under his simple, black plastic-rim spectacles, he said softly, "Thank you for staying with me! I thought I was going to had it today, and my center will be in pieces!"

I just smiled at him, without saying a word.

In my heart, I knew clearly that I've helped and supported the right person.

The center is his life. It was intact. By been with him, I gave him the support. (Although, frankly, I don't know if I can fight with 8-10 people at once at that time!)

He's business was quite affected by the rumors, and the visit from the gangsters.

He Has Plans Now...

Although his conflict with Mr. Cunning is temporary paused, after the gangster chapter was closed, he still have to find a more permanent solution.

Been a non-confrontational personal, he prefers to move out. In fact, he's planning to get a new place since his rental contract is expected to end in August this year.

He's now searching for a good location.

In the same time, he took my advice and created something for online, which he can share with more people about his unique Liang Shi Foot Reflexology and Body Massage. His website is going to be ready in the next few days.

I'm honored to share this story with you, and to help him rebuilding his life, away from his beloved, betraying, brother-in-law - Mr. Cunning, and from possible future fights and threats again.

I hope you enjoy reading my 'true' story. Till then, have a great weekend! :)

Cheers,
Guan
Tai Chi Breathing
Quick & Simple Tai Chi Chuan
Confucions Analects

P.S. - Once his website is ready, I'll send you another email and the link so that you can see his center and his face there! :)

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. Prof Singer is a professor in bioethics at Princeton University.

If you're like me, your eyes will probably be glued to that article. Mine did. And I read word for word from start till end.

That article was discussing how meat product was cruelly produced, as the title has stated.

If you may, please allow me to quote some of the extracts which I would like to share with you today...

"...People who naively believed that cows ate grass discovered taht beef cattle in feed lots may be fed anything from corn to fish meal, chicken litter (complete with chicken droppings) and slaughterhouse waste..."

Now, isn't this new?

Here's another one...

"...Tens of billions of chicken produced today never go outdoors. They are bred to have voracious appetites and gain weight as fast as possible, then reared in sheds that can hold more than 20,000 birds. The level of ammonia in the air from their accumulated droppings stings the eye and hurts the lungs..."

Now, this is really stinking! Yuck! There goes my planned chicken lunch today!

How about the eggs?

Here, read this extract...

"...Conditions are worse for laying hens crammed into wire cages so small that even if there were just one per cage, she would be unable to stretch her wings. But there are usually at least four, often more.

Under such crowded conditions, the more dominant, aggressive birds are likely to peck to death the weaker hens in the cage. To prevent this, producers sear off all birds' beaks with a hot blade. (Ouch!) A hen's beak is full of nerve tissue but no anaesthetic or analgesic is used to relieve the pain..."

Now, the eggs that we're eating, come from them!

But wait, what about the food value that we're getting from them?

The last extract I'd like to share with you...

"...When we confine animals in factory farms, we have to grow food for them. The animals burn up most of that food's energy just to breathe and keep warm. So we end up with no more than one-third, of the food value that we feed them.

By contrast, cows grazing on pasture eat food that we cannot digest, which means that they add to the amount of food available to us."

This reminds me of the report which my girlfriend, Janice, has compiled recently. If you have not gotten it earlier, you can get it FREE at Vegetarian Recipe Guide now.

One of the point in the report stated that the number of human beings who could be fed by the grain and soybeans eaten by U.S. livestock is shockingly at 1,300,000,000!

So, the food that we could otherwise eat has gone into these animals, and how much do they provide us?

See these, and you'll get the idea:

~ 16lbs of grain and soybeans are needed to produce 1lb of feedlot beef

~ 5lbs of protein fed to chickens is needed to produce 1lb of protein as chicken flesh

~ 7.5lbs of protein fed to hogs is needed to produce 1lb of protein as hog flesh.

Now isn't this a great loss, considering that more than 60,000,000 people are in risks of starving to death?

Now, what a morning to start with... especially on a fine Sunday like today!

But, thanks to Janice, she cheered me wonderfully today!

And I really have to thank her for her effort to share her discovery about our food with her FREE report "The Shocking Truth And Statistics About Your Food!" which she's currently giving away to anyone who takes time to visit her site at: www.VegetarianRecipeGuide.com now.

As for you, thanks for dropping in and read this blog. Have a wonderful Sunday, and may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!

Cheers,
Guan
www.TaichiBreathing.com
www.TaichiForYourHealth.com
www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com
www.ConfuciusAnalects.com

P.S. - So, if you want to get Janice's report for FREE, go quickly now, because I don't know when she'll take it down from her site: Vegetarian Recipe Guide

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. At least 70% of their income are from the sea.

Their children will help out in their work, after school. And usually, when they're into the secondary level, their motivation to study will drop very significant.

Most of them will drop off after O-Levels...

Thus, the exhibition, and the talk...

Been a firm believer in life-long learning and education, this is quite a challenge for me.

For example, how would you make them see, that education will help their livelihood. How will education benefit them?

I went to the hall early, and mingled with the organizing students, and a few parents there.

I asked around, and check the courses offered by the various university.

You'll probably have the same idea...

Of course, giving a talk about education, I cannot leave out Confucius' teachings on education, by quoting a few of His sayings, to give them that education has been seen as important since long, long time ago...

And quickly I bring them to see the benefit of education to their profession and the development of their villages.

There're marine science courses...

There're bio-technology courses...

There're aqua-culturu courses...

There're genetic technology courses...

All these, I link directly to their livelihood - what the FISH!

I shared with them:

You can rear bigger fishes, in lesser time. You can use technology to help them identify fish pools. You can develop more sickness-resistance fishes.

Then, I move on to other courses...

You'll need marketing expertise to market your fishes, if you rear more with those technologies...

You'll need accounting and finance professional to keep and analyze your records on fish sales...

You'll need management skills to take over your fishy business... (family business mindset are strong here)

You'll need computer technology to improve your systems...

You'll need social science to work on rural development and enhance Prawn Village...

Aha! Now they see it!

Well, the trick is - to always relate something back to their interest, their livelihood... in this case, education!

And they were so participative in my 45-minutes short presentation. They loved my talk. I can see it from their eyes, their nods (not dozing off, of course!), their smile...

(Well, the organizers told me later... the previous talks they organized were slapped with poor response!)

Of course, I did 2 activities with them - one to break the ices and get them to have fun before I began the serious talk, and another one to illustrate the point about education.

After the talk, one of the owners of a local fish rearing facility, walked up to me, shaked my hands, and said gratefully, "Thank you for your talk! Thank you for insights!"

"You see, I dropped off after O-Levels 29 years ago to help my father in his business. I never had any chances to further my studies."

"All these years, I know that I could have done more to improve my technics, and business. But, my knowledge is very, very limited! How I wish I have the opportunity to further my studies, to have more knowledge than I am now!"

"Experience counts, but this is how much I can have. So, with your enlightening talk tonight, I'm so impressed as it reflects what my heart have been yearning for..."

"And I will, I promise, that I'll let my grandchildren, 9 of them, to go for higher education, and have more knowledge and bring it back to develop our little village!"

"Thank you so much!"

My oh my! I was speechless!

The organizers, they too, loved it...

And guess what - the talk was totally different from what I've prepared in that afternoon... except with the few same lines I took of from Confucius Analects...

And oh, I was thinking to record the talk and share it with you... but it's in Chinese. So, perhaps, if the time allows, I'll try to transcript it in English and post it up here.

Till then, Confucius' idea on education lies in applying what you've learn - in this case, to the benefits of Prawn Village's rice bowls... as Confucius said, "Isn’t it joyful to learn and apply what you have learned consistently?..." [Chapter 1, Paragraph 1]

Till then, have a great weekend! :)

cheers,
Guan
Confucius Analects - Free 60-Days Sayings. This is better known as "Jianzi" by later generation.

You'd find them kicking it in a field, measuring only 30–40 cm in width, trying to strike it into a small net fixed onto long bamboo canes.

We used to play "Jianzi" using a different approach: we would try our best to keep it on the air as long as possible.

You have probably seen before, our simple game started by one throwing the Chinese
feather to another who will either kick it, chest it, head it, shoulder it (no hands please!), either keep it to himself, or pass it on to another friend.

Together, you'll see them working to keep it on the air, and counting, trying to beat the previous counts.

Interesting?

Look, this is not to say that football starts from there. Far from it!

You'd only see some similarity here... and it's just part of the Chinese folk games.

But, it's really amazing, isn't it?

So, to our questions - you already have the answer relating to World Cup (football) and Chinese feather...

So, what's this got to do with Tai Chi Breathing?

You see, I've designed a simplified exercise, extracted from my Tai Chi Breathing method, hopefully to share it with World Cup fans out there:

http://www.TaichiBreathing.com/wc.htm

What's that for, you'd ask, wouldn't you?

Right... it's basically to help diehard fans, perhaps you, to get more energy and stay more alert so that you can remain awake to watch your favorite matches on TV.

And that you will be wake up fresher, and have more energy to handle your work the next day.

It's your 'Survival Kit For The World Cup Month'!

Cool huh?

And I keep this sharing open until June 9, 2006 only. So, you want to find out here as soon as you can at:

http://www.TaichiBreathing.com/wc.htm

And as you know now, the answer to "What Do World Cup, Chinese Feather And Tai Chi Breathing Has In Common?", don't you?

Have a great day, and have a wonderful World Cup month!

Your friend,
Guan

Simple Tai Chi Breathing: The Survival Kit For World Cup Month

<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

noreply@blogger.com (C. It's been a long time since I talk to you...

"What's up?" You may ask.

I don't know if you've watched this, but I've gotten some inspiration, motivation, determination, whatever you call it, from a neat TV show called, "The Big Loser"

Do you watch it?

It's about 12 over-sized contestant going into a The-Survival-Or-The-Apprentice-like competition to see who loses the most weight! As usual, 2 teams, led by one trainer each. They face many challenges and 'temptations' as well!

Temptation?

Yup, temptation to eat, or not doing exercises!

But hey, that's not all. The most thrilling part is...

At the end of each week: 'The Weighing', the total of weight lost of each team will be measured. The losing team (ironically, loses the least... weight) will have to pick one among them to pack and 'goodbye'!

Did I say inspiration?

Well, after receiving many enquiries from my subscribers about my weight... I've resolved to lose it for good!

After all, my girlfriend would love it!

"Now, how are you supposed to lose it?" You may ask again. "Following like 'The Big Loser'?"

Nah...

I was weighing 104kgs (229lbs) in 2002, and in the short span of 8 months, I lost 31kg (68lbs). So this time, same game plan. And I'm going to lose at least 20kgs (44lbs) in 3 months' time!

"Hey, how do you weigh now?" You curious?

Err... this is kinda public. So, I'll like to keep it private first. If I lose 20kgs (44lbs), I'll let you know how much I weight at that time! (You can count, can't you?)

But hey... since 9 Apr, I've lost 2kgs, a neat 4.4lbs off my body!

Hey, do I deserve a clap?

Cool!

Psst... wanna know how I did it in such a short time?

Now, read this...

The key lies in the amount of energy that you have. Though I've been too busy to move even my butt in the past half year, I still have the energy to exercise as much as I want.

Where the hell I get these energy?

Now, you might want to read further...

My secrets on how to get unlimited energy into your body is...

How you breath!

Ow, come'on Guan. Kidding me?

Well, most people would think so, but... why don't you go to this site to find out how: Tai Chi Breathing

It's the same cool techniques I've been using, and it works simply like magic, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

You could do the same, and boost your energy like crazy!

Till then, wish me luck in my weight losing plan.
