The Highland - Good For Tai Chi Chuan

I went for a trip over the last weekend, with my girlfriend Janice and a few of her friends.

It is a highland trip. Very cooling. Lot's of fresh air. The greenish scenery has soothing effects on our tiring body and soul. The sunlight was never too bright or hot.

There are not many people around. Very little cars, and of course, less polution.

This is our main tea producing areas. Some fruits like strawberries are produced in mass volume. Others like wild honey are also the famous local products.

After we checked in our cosy, rented apartment, Janice and I had a stroll around the quiet and breezy apartment area.

"Teach me Tai Chi Chuan!", Janice asked out of sudden.

Hmmm... I have been teaching and sharing with people about Tai Chi Breathing and Tai Chi Chuan, I seemed to have forgotten about sharing it with her, or did I really forgot???

Just a few days before our highland trip, when she was breathless from her exercises, and felt pain on her chest, I asked her to lie down, and do abdominal breathing. Surprisingly, she managed to get it right this time. In the past, she could not, and gave up almost instantly!

The methods I taught her this time is the same methods I shared in my e-book. It worked so well for her! And she could breath normally just a few abdominal breathing. She carried on for a few more breathing, and her chest pain was gone! I was so excited that day! She can do Tai Chi Breathing now!

Actually, I did not forget about teaching her... but I prefer to wait for her to ask. Now that she have asked...

"Which Tai Chi Chuan you prefer to learn?", I asked her.

"Which one is better?", she was curious.

"Well, the original 24 forms will take more time and effort on your side to properly master it. My Quick & Simple Tai Chi Chuan - you can learn within 7 days. Which one you prefer?", I explained the difference briefly to her.

She pondered for a while... and then answered, "Teach me the 24 forms. I like some challenge!"

"OK. Let's start with your bow stance and steppings..." I replied eagerly.

That afternoon was one of the most exciting afternoon. I showed her how to do the bow stance properly, and then showed her how to step forward, and then, how to turn around, to get bow stance again.

I showed her how these steps are been used by showing her Left and Right Parting of Wild Horse's Mane and Left and Right Knee Brush and Step Twisting.

She picked up the steps quite fast...

While she was practicing her steps, I took some time for myself... of course, to do a complete set of Tai Chi Chuan!

The fresh air, the greens, the dim sunlight, and with a 'new partner' - I just could not resist doing Tai Chi Chuan!

After just one set, I felt so great! The fresh air in the highland is just great for doing Tai Chi Chuan!

We went out shortly after that - going to the strawberry farms, eating all the strawberries, drinking freshly blended strawberry juice and strawberry milkshake. We went to pick our own strawberries. The little red fruits decorated lovely, along the edge of the narrow lines of the plants. They are just gorgeous!

We went to the vegetable market, ate fried mushrooms, and fried sweet potato balls. The wind was strong at the vegetable market, but the fried mushrooms and potato balls kept us warm, for a while at least. We bought a lot of vegetables to prepare for the steamboat dinner that night. We bought some corns, really sweet one, for dinner, and for taking home.

On the way back to the apartment, we stopped at a Mahayana Chinese Buddhist Temple. Both Janice and I went in to pay respect to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. It's peaceful inside. With tranquility echoed by intermittent sounds of their evening chanting, very soothing! For both our physical and spiritual ears.

That night, amidst the cold atmosphere, we circled the steamboat and enjoyed our scrumptious and hot meal. A perfect mix of yin (coldness) and yang (heat) for our loverly dinner! :)

The next day, we went to the honey farm. Bought a few wild honey. Then to the tea farm, and this is the best! The trees were covered with lines and lines of green tea bushes, as if they were covered by patterned green cotton blankets! The view is awesome! The fresh air was filled with tea fragrance - that was as soothing as sniffing the aroma of a freshly brewed tea!

We spent a long time there... and again, I was tempted to do Tai Chi Chuan! :p

We came down back to the town again, and then hopped onto the bus and reached home on Sunday evening.

I checked my e-mails, and found that a few more persons bought my e-books on Tai Chi Breathing, while I was away for the weekend. And I knew that I just have to carry on with my writing of Quick and Simple Tai Chi Chuan for Better Health in 7 Days, which is half way through by now, because... I'm madly in love with it!

(remember the temptation? I just love Tai Chi Chuan!)

So, just share this trip with you... and hope that you are also tempted with Tai Chi Chuan, especially when you are on a trip to highland area! :)

Cheers,
Guan

What Would You Do If You Have The Power?

"What would you do if you have the power?"

Yes, these was the question that I have been asking myself in the last one week!

Why?

You see, I'm offer my services on the internet. I use payment collection site to collect funds on my behalf.

Exactly last week, just before sleeping, I realized that how easy it is to steal digital products through these sites. My teacher has realized that earlier...

I was excited, and got up instead of sleeping! I did an experiment... and the result?

Yes, it is easy to steal people's digital product online!

"What would you do if you have the power?"

Now, that question comes in!!!

I have been to many online sites offering products and services... and frankly, at times, the temptation is there!

"Do not do onto others, if you do not want others to do onto you!"

"You will reap whatever fruits of the seeds that you have sown!"

"What goes around, comes around!"

You see, I'm a firm believer of the Law of Karma... and as such, refrained from doing this!

"adinna-dana veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami"

"I take the precept to abstain from taking things not given"

This morning, I received a sales notice... and but no money has been collected! This was the exact way how people can steal digital products that I came to realized last week, yet I have restrained from doing so all this while!

No ill intention to them, because I want people to learn what I can share with them! However, if they cannot learn how to refrain themselves from mis-using their knowledge and power, then whatever that I have taught in my e-books will NEVER be able to help them at all!

This is because I uses the mind techniques for the betterness of this world, yet a stealing mind is a corrupted mind that cannot be used for the betterness of the owner and to others as well. That's a very sad truth! :(

And they will be responsible for the fruits of the seeds that they have sown!

Worst still! This saddened me most... the IP address recorded is from the same country as I am! My own country's people are doing this! That's a very shameful thing for me too! :(

"What would you do if you have the power?"

Ask yourself this question, whenever the temptation to mis-use the knowledge and power that you have, for selfish gain. This is never in line with Tai Chi's principles!

Remember Spider Man? "With great power, comes great responsibilities!" and my healing master once shared with us, "With this hand and power, you can either 'kill' or 'heal'! But please choose to 'heal'!"

And in my e-books, I teach people to 'heal', not to 'steal'!!!

'Healing' here means not only healing of our physical body, or on our mind and spiritual aspects, but also to 'heal' relationships with people and to 'heal' this world so that it will be a better place for us to live in!

A better world is definitely no place for a 'thief' to belong to!

And again, sigh, I want to share this question with the world:

"What would you do if you have the power?"

I would do the best for the betterment of humankind with whatever little power that I have! :)

Cheers always,
