Who Created Tai Chi Chuan?

I was at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, waiting to board the flight back to Penang, on 15 July, Friday night.

There's a nice bookstore at the airport. I went in and searched around for books on Tai Chi Chuan. I found a few.

It disturbed me very much after reading a few pages of some of those books!

Perhaps the legend was too well-known, or just nobody bothered to find out the reliability of the sources claiming that Zhang Sanfeng, the Wudang priest who found Tai Chi Chuan. I was one of those who believed in this theory too!

One book claimed that he got the inspiration from observing a snake and a crane fighting. I have one book making the same claim.

There's a recorded source claiming that Zhang Sanfeng learned Tai Chi Chuan in his dream. Movies and kung-fu novels also shown that Zhang Sanfeng was the one who created Tai Chi Chuan!!!

Many Chinese scholars and writers have disagreed with this record!

Who then created Tai Chi Chuan?

I have written 2 articles on my website:

Origins and Historical Development of Tai Chi Chuan at

http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com/history.htm

and How Did Tai Chi Chuan Get Its Name? at

http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com/taichi.htm

Sorry if I sound rude, but I need to put those researched information to public so that we can appreciate the art better when we understand its historical development and the core principles behind Tai Chi Chuan.

And also, I don't mean to put down Zhang Sanfeng. For your information, I started learning meditation at the age of 10, and in the scriptures that I based my meditation on, Zhang Sanfeng's name had been mentioned many, many times. His techniques and ideology influenced my initial meditation practices.

So, I actually respect this great master of the past, though historical evidents of his existence were not very clear!

What I want to share is a solid source of historical records that can be proven to be reliable, until present dates. Who knows if they may uncover other records or sources that may prove whatever current theories otherwise!

So, read my articles:

1. Origins and Historical Development of Tai Chi Chuan at http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com/history.htm

2. How Did Tai Chi Chuan Get Its Name? at http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com/taichi.htm

And have a nice day! :)

Want more Personal POWER?

This morning, I've discovered a good resource and I'm so excited about it!

It's called "The Personal Power Course: 10 lessons in Constructive Science, teaching you how to use your own sub-conscious energies for health, prosperity and personal achievement".

It's a new ebook and it's very, very different from anything I've ever read. It shared in simple steps that ANYONE can follow, on exactly what you need to do to get what you want in life.

It looks like having nothing to do with Tai Chi nor I-Ching, but I'm fascinated by the way it teaches me how to use the sub-conscious energies for betterment of my life! Actually, meditation and Tai Chi practices deals with sub-conscious energies as well.

Click Here: http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com/refer/wdwattles.htm to get you copy.

"The Personal Power Course" was written by Wallace D. Wattles. He is better known for his classic masterpiece - "The Science of Getting Rich", I think...

"The Personal Power Course" ebook is divided into 10 lessons, and in summary, I can share about this 10 lessons:

~ Lesson 1 - Fundamentals
~ Lesson 2 - The Physical Side of Health-Culture
~ Lesson 3 - The Mental Side of Health-Culture
~ Lesson 4 - The Physical Side of Wealth-Culture
~ Lesson 5 - The Mental Side of Wealth-Culture
~ Lesson 6 - The Development of Talent
~ Lesson 7 - The Retention of Youth
~ Lesson 8 - Marital Happiness
~ Lesson 9 - Special Application
~ Lesson 10 - Opportunity

Each lesson builds upon the previous one to construct a complete, simple, practical, easy-to-understand, step-by-step system for getting whatever you want out of life, whether it's...

~ Health (I'm more concern about this one)
~ Wealth
~ Success
~ Happiness (and this one, too!)
~ Loving Relationships (and not forgetting this one!)
~ or Anything and Everything Else You Want! (Hmmm... you name it!)

It contains the complete, simple, practical, easy-to-understand, step-by-step system for getting what you want that YOU'VE been looking for!

Get you copy at http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com/refer/wdwattles.htm

Nothing I have ever read or heard before has so clearly explained to me that there is a special power within us and that if we'll just use that power constructively, instead of destructively, the results we want in life will begin to come to us...
that we can use this power to literally "create" the life we've always wanted!

Actually, it took me years to realise that special power within us... now he put it so simple for you to know how!

I highly encourage you to check it out for yourself at: http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com/refer/wdwattles.htm

You'll be really glad you did!

Have a nice day and may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!

I had pain in my heart this morning

I had pain in my heart this morning...

Just yesterday, I was congratulating people of UK about them getting to host the 2012 Olympic. And today, I was totally shocked to hear about the explosion going on in London which kill many and injured many more!

It is joy followed by sorrows...

My condolences to the families of those who suffered from the blast, and may those injured recover fast from this terrible incident.

Life is full of uncertainty.

It is full of changes!

It is impermenant!

I-Ching, or the Book of Change, with its name implies, stated that life is in constant flux of change. The word I (Yi in pinyin) means 'change' in Chinese. It is formed from the characters of the sun and the moon, which represents yang and yin respectively.

The elements of yin and yang means that life changes constantly to and from between good and bad, joy and sorrow, happiness and sadness, high and low and between any two extreme qualities. This is the dualistic principles in I-Ching.

In any events or things, there are two qualities within. There's no such thing as complete good or perfectly bad things. It is the degree of good, or bad that matters.

Take for example, can we say that a person is good because there's no bad quality in him, or a person is bad because he or she have never done any 'good' at all??? A good person may at times been guilty of small bad deeds, and a bad person may at times have some good in him or her. Isn't it?

That's the reason why I posted on my blog with "Good in the Bad, Bad in the Good" yesterday.

With all this said, a good thing may have some negative side in it. And vice versa, a bad thing may have some positive side in it. It depends on how we perceive the issue.

Having said this, I remembered a story related to this principes, which I will be sharing in my website: http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com soon. Come visit me later for this story.

Now back to London... it is definitely tough to accept and face this event, especially those suffering loses, in terms of their loved one, or valuables. However, it is not the time to grieve or feel depressed.

It is time to stand up boldly in face of challenges and get those responsible for these terrible acts into justice! And help those in need, and help those injured to recover fast, or to save lives of those who are critical.

It is time to stand united in face of these challenges. And with this, it is possible to harness some good or positive sides in facing the bad or negative sides of events...

There's not much we can do to undo this that have been done. Changes is inevitable. How we face changes is what makes us stronger than ever. And that's the principles in I-Ching and Tai Chi.

And Tai Chi Boxing is a representation of these principles. Get a copy of FREE report on Tai Chi Chuan at: http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com

I will be doing some meditation tonight - to wish those who are injured to recover fast, and to those who suffered loss to be free from suffering. To those who now returned to their Creator, may they be blessed with love and compassion in eternity. And those believing in re-birth, may they be born in blissful and higher states of existence.

And may all be blessed with the Energy of Tai Chi! :)

With lot's of pain,

The Good in the Bad, The Bad in the Good

As I read the newspaper this morning - there's a big Headline flashing over the page - "London 2012". London will host the Olmypic event in 2012! Congratulations! Well done, to the people in UK! I'm sure there will be much joy now in the country.

But, in the same time - I'm sure that the people in France will be very, very disappointed, am I right? Defeat was and will never be loved, by most of us. Moreover, when it was a very close fight!

Now, this is why in I-Ching, there are the Two Elements - Yin and Yang. Look at the 2-fish diagram. It is divided into 2 section in proportion. And within each elements, there's a dot in it. What does this means?

This means, in the yin element, there will be yang element and vice versa, in the yang element, there will be yin element. This give rise to the Four Phenomena.

I have put up the information site already, and for more about these, please go to http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com

Now, come back to the Four Phenomena. What does it means to us?

In any events or things, there will be some good in the bad, and some bad in the good. Just like there's some yin in the yang, and some yang in the yin. Like the case about the Olympic bidding - there's good bad news in the good news, there's sorrow amongst joy, there's losing among winning and so on.

So, what's next?

Yesterday, I shared about balancing between yin and yang. This is because, in life, there will be a mixture of good and bad, joy and sorrow, happiness and sadness, winning and losing, high and low, and it all come in a 'package'! :)

Therefore, we should learn to be more give and take - and accept the nature of life as it is. Enjoy the good things, and accept the bad one bravefully and gracefully. This will then help us to achieve a more balance and harmonious life.

Pssst... just to share with you. One of my articles about learning Tai Chi Chuan was published yesterday and I was really, really high on this one. :) If you like, you can read it at: http://www.ezinearticles.com/?id=48486

But, later in the evening - I received news about my notebook: the data cannot be saved, and to repair it, the cost is equivalent of getting a new PC! There goes my work, and money too!!! :(

Sigh! Good news and bads news just in a day's time! Well, there's what I-Ching is trying to tell us. If we face it gracefully, after all, life isn't that bad, don't you agree?

Wishing you with a balance, harmonious and happy life! :)

May the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!

Cheers!

Balancing between Yin and Yang

I have a full time job in marketing. I'm working on online project in the same time, and normally will work on it after my normal job. This had been going on for the past 2-3 weeks.

I wanted to carry on creating my information website http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com yesterday, but then I remembered that I had promised my girlfriend, Janice, to go watch "Wars of the World" after my office hours.

Which and which now???

Well, I'm passionate about Tai Chi and wanted to share with as many people, and as soon as possible. But then, what is passion all about if I cannot put in 'passion' and 'time' to those that I love dearly?

Tai Chi Chuan is based on I-Ching, and the principles in I-Ching are talking about balancing the yin and yang elements. If one elements goes to the extreme, the other will begin to set in.

There's this statement in I-Ching: "When the yin goes to the extreme, the yang is born. And when the yang goes to the extreme, the yin is born". This is represented by the 2-fish diagram, and if you go in clock wise on the diagram, you will find that as one element grows more and more and reach its peak, the other elements will begin to grow in replacement.

What does this mean to me then? Or to anyone else?

Simple: we have to balance our life in every aspects, and do not just focus only on one or a few. We have to balance between work and personal life, between family and friends, between material and spiritual, and the list goes on. Otherwise, there will be dis-harmony in our lives.

This is also what Tai Chi Chuan is specifically all about - balancing between the tranquility and dynamic. To find out more about Tai Chi Chuan, I suggest you download my free e-Report from:

http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com

Although Janice said that she don't mind me working, I decided to call off my plan to work on the site and went to the movie with Janice. We had a simple, but nice dinner together, and then went for the show. We were lucky that we managed to get the last two comfortable seats for that screening. Under guidance of Tai Chi - it is obvious that last evening was meant to be a movie-evening for us! :)

"Wars of the World" is great! I found it fresh to see Tom Cruise acting in a less heroic, average-joe, and selfish character who cares about nothing but himself who eventually, under the circumstances and his natural fatherly love, became a hero in his own way! I believe this role will be another boost for him as he has always been seen acting heros on the screen. Now, talk about balancing the yin and yang!!! That's a good balance for him!

After last nite, I felt more refresh today, and tonight, will definitely go on to work on my information site:

http://www.TaichiExerciseForHealth.com

Hope that you too can balance the yin and yang in your life! :)

Cheers, and may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!

Sleeping very little the past 14 days

I have a full time work. Now, I'm also working on a project - that is to share with people about Tai Chi Chuan (Tai Chi Boxing), and have been sleeping consistently late (earliest 2am) and got up by 7am to go to work, for the past 14 days!

My jobs are in marketing education programs for a private education institution, and it is a very stressful job. We have targets to achieve, in terms of student number registration. There are many bosses to report to. And the most frustrating part is that: there's no end to the recruiting because once they registered, it will take them ages to repeat their sales again! :(

Anyway, put that aside.

I'm still alright and can carry on because of some special breathing techniques I have learned since 10 years old, and that was 23 years ago!

I'm doing this breathing technique in almost every moment... during driving, working, walking, sitting, watching TV, and before sleeping.

This one simple technique give me the energy and alertness to carry on with my work, despite of sleeping very little, for the past 14 days. :)

Well, this is something to do with the Tai Chi Chuan thing I'm working on it. I'm going to share this breathing techniques for free with everyone who register into my list:

http://www.TaichiForYourHealth.com

And yes, you will also get a free e-Report immediately upon registering. This report was the result of my 'little sleep in the past 14 days'! :)

I will be also working on more about alternative ways to health and mental well-being. This means - more little sleep to come! :o

Well, but I feel that this is worth it, because I can make a difference in people's life by adding values to them! :)

So, give me your support and get the report for free now:

Take care and may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you! :)
