The Impermenance of Life...

Last night, as planned, I spent a great time with my girlfriend. We went for pizza and shared many, many things.

I shared with her my joy of receiving positive feedback from readers of my latest books. She shared with my about her work, and their planning to go to the capital on 16-18 September to celebrate one of their directors' birthday, etc...

We went home, and her housemate, TT was around. She looked tired and depressed...

TT has just broken up with her boyfriend 3 months ago, and all this while she was hoping that they can re-concile. She kept stressing that he was a good man, treated her very nice, and now he's with someone else and treated her coldly. Yet, TT still loves her man.

But that causes a lot of pain and suffering on her.

"How could such a good man change???"

"TT, people change, things change, events change, and everything changes. That's the impermenance of life!" I shared with her.

I was concerned about her well-being. Though I don't really understand the pain that she has gone through, or how hard she try to let it go, we (my girlfriend and I) hope we can do something to reduce her pain...

All we can do is to ask her to take good care of herself. She's strong. We know she's strong. But, she needs time and support.

People change...

I-Ching advocates the ideas of change...

Buddhism stresses on impermenance...

Modern management gurus emphasize on change management...

In this dynamic environment, nothing stays constant. It all depends on how we perceive them and face them. As for TT, she just have to let it go! She had been trying to contact the guy, trying to meet up with him again, hoping that he will come back to her... and the the sad part was - the guy tried to avoid her with excuses, even as a normal 'friend'!

Sigh! Losing something is part an parcel of getting something! We get it, someday we will lose it!

That's how impermenance things can be! :(

She was tensed and depressed, and has been losing sleep. I asked my girlfriend to do 'Guasha' on her - scrapping her with a small board made from buffalo's horn with some medicine, on certain acu-points of her body, which is known to induce sleep. Hopefully she will get some good rest and clear her mind to see things as it is.

Later I will teach her how to do simple breathing to release herself, and some simple prayers on getting stronger and over with her woes.

Well, life is impermenance... and oh, by the way... my girlfriend dropped her mobile phone last night on the way to the pizza house, and she lost it! :(

Sigh! That's how life is!

OK, but then, things have to go on. Life goes on. My writing goes on - will start off my second book today!
