         First thing first, if you're not familiar with search engines, they are websites like Google.com, Yahoo.com etc which provide the facilities for you to search for websites depending on certain keywords or keyphrases.

         So, if your website is ranked high on the search engine, especially on the first few pages, most likely people will be able to see your website when they search for the keywords/keyphrases which are related to your business.

High Rank In Search Engine = Targeted Traffics To Your Website

         This way, you'll be getting targeted traffics to your site because they are looking for something related to your business.

         Now, how to get your website ranked high in the search engine?

         Well, let me share some tips with you on what you should look for...

	Avoid flash-base website totally because your website may not be indexed at all. Indexed means your website is listed in the search engine database. Not indexed means - it will not be listed at all, let alone ranked up high. I'm not making this without claims. I have clients who used flash-base website, and they are not even listed in the search engine after they've launched it for 3 months! So, avoid at all cost.
	Choose a domain name with words, not short forms. On top of been easily remembered, the search engine can rank you better if your domain name is relevant to your business.
	Make use of the meta tags to include keywords and keyphrases relevant to your business.
	Make sure your website is content rich - with words which are related to the keywords and/or keyphrases you seek to rank in the search engine. This is where "picture speaks a thousand words" loses out to words!
	Add alt-text and titles to your picture with relevant keywords and/or keyphrases, if you have nothing to say, but only pictures to show. But even if you have words, adding alt-text and titles helps a lot in the ranking.
	Keep your website updated regularly with new and fresh information. Search engine loves new information!
